Realistic water running on tap

Through this tutorial, we will learn how to use a combination of photoshop filters to create a realistic effect of water running from a tap..

	Let's start with a new document 500x500 pixels Press "D" to reset your color palletes to black and white. Create a new layer, then apply the following filter: Filter » Render » Clouds
	Apply: Filter » Blur » Gaussian Blur Set: 6 Apply: Filter » Blur » Motion Blur Set: Angle: 90, Distance: 80
	Now go to Image » Image Size Set: width: 300pixels (UNTICK the "Constrain Proportions" option ) then click ok. So now your document should be 300 width and 500 high.
	Next, go to Filter » Artistic » Plastic Wrap Set: Highlight Strength: 15, Detail:10, Smoothness:10 Apply Filter » Sketch » Chrome Set: Detail:0, Smoothness: 8
	Go to Edit » Fade Chrome Set: Opacity:100%, Mode: Hard Light
	Now go to Image » Image Size Set: height:800 pixels, leave all other settings, and make sure the "Constrain Proportions" is NOT checked.
	Now go to Edit » Transform » Warp Move the anchors around, inward, up and down, just play with it to shape it like running water.
	Now, just add some gradient color to the background layer, and change it's water layer's blending mode to "Hard Light"

Here is an image I made, simply by adding the above water's layer to a picture of a tap.

Tutorial Photoshop - Light Beam

Photoshop: Light Beam

Introduction:
In this tutorial I am assuming that the reader, you, has intermediate photoshop skills and knows how to use the

photoshop tools and where they are. Therefore I will not spoon feed you. You should know how

to use the blur filters: Motion blur, Radial blur, and Gaussian Blur very comfortably.

This tutorial is not very hard at all and you should be able to make something like my beam if

you follow the steps I took. Please remember that as you get better with photoshop its more and

more up to you to decide what looks better or worse. The steps are not set in concrete! You may

get a better beam by doing something I didnt.

Time to complete: 20-30min

Step: 0


Open a new document. Make it big enough. I

used 2000x1500. Fill the background with black.

Step: 1
We are now going to make the main body of

our beam. Make a new layer and Select a rectangle about 20px wide and 1000px tall.


Step: 2
Fill the rectangle with white on

the new layer. Duplicate the layer and use Gaussian blur on it to give the original rectangle a

little bit of a glow. Merge the layers.


Step: 3
Using the smudge tool with a

"chalk" brush

and a 14% strength make a water droplet shape out of the bottom of our rectangle.


Step: 4
Duplicate the layer. Increase the

strength of the smudge tool to about 30% and make the droplet bigger.


Set the opacity of the new layer down to about 50%.


Step: 5
Use the Light

Rays tutorial to make a whole bunch of light rays around our beam. Each on its own layer of

course.


Step: 6
If some of the

light rays dont fit in well you can use the liquify tool to bend them a little. You should now have

something like this.


Step: 7
Merge all the Light Rays onto

one layer. Duplicate that layer a few times and add various blur effects. I used motion blur at 52

degrees and then on another copy of the light rays layer motion blur at -52 degrees. Then I

added a layer of Gaussian blur to make the rays look like they are glowing.


Step: 8
We are now going to add some

dust particles. Using the

Dust Particles tutorial make dust around the rays.

Step: 9
Duplicate the dust layer a few times and add

various blur settings. I used radial blur to give the beam the effect that it was moving really fast.

And some Gaussian blur to give the dust a glow.


Step: 10
I didnt like the original beam

body. I used a layer mask and a fuzzy brush to get rid of the stem and added a thinner one.


Step: 11
Merge

everything.

Step: 12
Using the Color

Balance tool add color to the beam.

Kematian Taha Bemamud yang menjadi penguasa di daerah kumuh yang disebut District 13 ternyata tidak mampu membuat wilayah tersebut menjadi aman. Kosongnya kekuasaan membuat lima kelompok etnis di sana saling berperang memperebutkan kursi kekuasaan yang ditinggalkan Taha.

Di sisi lain, pemerintah Perancis berencana untuk membumihanguskan wilayah ini bila para penghuninya tak mau tunduk pada hukum yang berlaku di Perancis. Kini harapan seluruh warga District 13 bergantung pada Damien (Cyril Raffaelli) dan Leito (David Belle). Dua orang inilah yang tiga tahun sebelumnya berhasil menumbangkan kekuasaan Taha Bemamud yang berkuasa di District 13. Namun ada campur tangan pihak lain yang berusaha mengambil keuntungan dari pemusnahan District 13. Bila Damien dan Leito tak berhasil meyakinkan kelima para 'petinggi' lima kelompok etnis di wilayah kumuh ini untuk bersatu, maka tak ada lagi harapan buat distrik tersebut.

Ranting Melintang dijalanku

Ya Allah...
Bulan ini aku banyak banget masalah. Bermula dari hilangnya hape Nokia N70 ME kesayanganku sampai kesulitan aku untuk bayar kost-kostsan. Mungkin ada yang berfikir kenapa sulit membayar kost-kostsan? ya itu karena aku diharuskan menebus rapot keponakanku yang bapaknya tidak bertanggung jawab, bukan aku pelit atau medit tapi hanya benci saja dengan sikapnya dia yang tak bertanggung jawab kepada istri (kakak-ku) dan anak-anaknya :(.
Selesai masalah itu aku dihadapkan lagi dengan masalah yang membuat aku kembali meringis, sebentar lagi aku UJIAN dan aku diharuskan melunasi SPP ku yang jumlahnya mencapai 700 ribu (belum termasuk 2010) tercatat dari tahun 2008 dan 700 ribu untuk Pendaftaran Ujian Nasional tapi yang ini aku sedikit merasa tidak terlalu berat karena bisa aku ajukan kepada Ayah (aku menyebutnya dia sebagai "Ayah"-ku karena dialah yang membuatku bangkit) tapi aku kembali berfikir, kenapa harus dia. Jujur aku bingung Ya Allah... Aku tidak enak kalau aku harus melakukan itu :((. Belum selesai masalah itu kembali membuatku menangis dalam hati, komputer kesayanganku ruksak dan belum bisa aku gunakan meskipun sudah beberapa kali aku betulkan (sendiri). Padahal komputer itu adalah jantung bagiku karena dialah yang membuatku berdiri seperti ini bekerja di warnet dan menjadi guru privat komputer.
Ya Allah semoga engkau tidak menimpakan masalah lain hingga aku menyelesaikan masalah ini, Ya Allah jadikan derita ini sebagai menuntun laju kehidupan untuk meraih mimpiku, Ya Allah berilah aku kekuatan.
